Catasonic began as an independant record label in 1994 with the release of Webaworld. In 1995, we released four other records: Matt Heckert's Mechanical Sound Orchestra, Gynomite, 2 Bass Hit and Mark Wheaton Play's America's Favorite Award Winning Tunes. In 1997 we released Jac Zinder's Stay Home, a tribute to a friend and local club impresario who was killed in a car accident on Thanksgiving night.

In 1996, we started building the studio. As much as we loved putting out our own records and records by our friends, we realized that what we really enjoyed doing was actually recording the music. So we fufilled a life long dream of building a real studio, with acoustically designed spaces and high quality recording equipment. It took us 6 months, but since we opened for business in January of 1997 we've worked on over 150 projects. As artists we share our tools and expertise to help other artists realize their ideas at an affordable price. We offer to composers, songwriters and visual artists the latest techonology in a comfortable environment.
